Ellie & Mal at Soulbury Church and Creslow Manor

I'm pleased to share this beautiful wedding from September 2014, which took place at the picture perfect Church in Soulbury and then onto Creslow Manor.

Firstly, a huge thank you to Graham of Heartwood Photography for the superb images! I have a queue of blogs to catch up on but after receiving so many beautiful images from Graham, this one had to jump the queue!

Ellie first got in touch earlier in 2014 whilst travelling, we had an initial Skype consultation and I instantly 'got it' I understood the look she wanted to achieve, the style of the wedding and loved her laid back approach of just wanting a beautiful wedding and 'I trust you' attitude.

The results were breathtaking, Ellie's dress couldn't have suited her more, Mal looked truly handsome  and the Church looked like something out of a period drama.

Ellie's mum loves flowers and really wanted to have some input, she made dozens of pretty jars of flowers to line the walkway to the church and some more inside. We made a simple arch above the doorway, which was perfect for photographs.

The bridesmaids carried bouquets similar to Ellie's and the flower girl wore a full circlet headdress, or 'flower crown' as they are called nowadays!
Ellie also wore flowers in her hair, simple ivory Spray Roses pinned, for an elegant, classic style.

The gents wore cluster style buttonholes, smaller flowers with foliage for a change from the standard single ivory Rose.  The mums had a similar style, all finished with twine around the stem.

For the wedding breakfast, Ellie and Mal opted for low vases filled with ivory flowers and foliage. They also bought the vases, enabling them to give the flowers away at the end of the evening, they did in fact take them all the next day to a retirement home to give to the elderly residents.

The cake was a memorable one! Ellie had a 'cake emergency' and needed to cover some broken icing, the cake was a classic plain iced one she had ordered but had to assemble herself, note to brides - be careful stacking! So, we arrived armed with extra flowers and got to work, making delicate clusters to cover the holes and split icing, the finished result was much more beautiful then we could have imagined! Certainly unique! We also brought cake stands and hat boxes to give each cake its own stand.

Congrats to Ellie and Mal, we hope you loved your wedding as much as we did! xx
