Zoe's Flaxbourne Vintage Wedding Day, with David Austin delights

Well, thanks to the rather talented Nigel Edgecombe, this wedding was featured time after time in various blog posts.

A glorious summer's day at Flaxbourne Gardens, a truly vintage theme and a delightful bride and groom. The most beautiful wedding gown, tiered lace to the floor, elegant lace straps and a beautiful floor sweeping train - just beautiful.

The truly stunning David Austin Roses took centre stage, as Zoe's bouquet was filled with the Juliet variety, surrounded by an assortment of seasonal additions, including Ammi, Nigella, Astilbe.

The Church was filled with flowers, Zoe's lovely mum wanted to take part in making the day beautiful, by making all the pew end displays, I took care of the heavy stuff...the huge pedestal displays at the front of the Church, which were later moved to Flaxbourne to the marquee.

The tables were a mixture of tall and low displays, all using the same flowers as the Bridal bouquet, with a few extra touches. We added Thelspi Green Bell foliage for a softer edge.

Even the wedding day card I gave Zoe, was captured by Nigel.

Vicky & James at Notley Abbey, Red Rose Romance

A gorgeous day and a super stylish bride, Vicky knew exactly what she wanted for her big day...

The dress was fairytale, the venue perfect and the flowers, bold and bright.

Vicky & James had their big day at Notley Abbey and their ceremony took place outside in the beautiful gardens. We dressed the ceremony area using our large white urns, filled with rich red Peonies and Roses.

With the glorious Red Naomi Roses, Vicky carried a ball posy filled with just Roses, bound with black satin ribbon. She also wore Red Roses in her hair and red lipstick to suit.
Wearing scarlet tea length gowns, the bridesmaids wore pearl wrist corsages with ivory Roses.

The cake had a novel twist, a doughnut tower, dressed with fresh Red Roses for a romantic edge.
To suit the medieval style of the historic country house, Vicky and James chose black iron candelabras, dressed with Ivy and fern, with clusters of large Red Roses and ivory candles for a romantic setting.
The top table was dressed with a large display, filled with chunky candles, Peonies and Roses, finished with Ferns and Ivy.

Gill & Cristian at Fanhams Hall, Vintage Roses with scented Herbs

Another venue I fell in love with, Fanhams Hall, a Jacobean Manor House, breathtaking both inside and out. I had the pleasure of working here last year, to dress the room for Gill & Cristian's wedding day.

Gill had clear ideas on the style and look she wanted to achieve, soft pastel tones of antique pink with candle light and elegance.

Gill's bouquet was made using soft pink and antique 'Amnesia' Roses, with warm cream 'Vendella' Roses, finished with Eucalyptus and Rosemary for a heavenly scent. With ivory pearls in several of the Rose centres.

The tables were decorated with tall ivory, vintage style candelabras with cream candles and crystal droplets.

Thank you again to Kate Hopewell-Smith for the beautiful images.
